Charyn, Temirlik and the Yellow Canyon from Almaty

The highlight of this driving tour is a visit to three canyons of Charyn National Park at once: the “Valley of Castles”, Temirlik Canyon and the “Yellow Canyon”. The camp is set up in the shade of trees by the Temirlik River, which is especially pleasant on hot summer days. The small Temirlik River is perfect for swimming — its water is warm and clean. There is even a chance to catch fish in it. The abundance of dry driftwood is sure to make for a lovely evening campfire. The tour is designed for lovers of active recreation, as much of the time is devoted to walking through the canyons. The most favorable time for this tour is April-June and August-October.
